Check Memory Speed Is My Memory Card Speed Sufficient?

Is my memory card speed sufficient? - check memory speed

It is a card with 4 GB of memory with a speed of 45x write fast enough for my Rebel XTi to shoot 3 frames per second at 10.1 Megapixels? I bought without) the speed control (idiot and now I'm wondering if I go back and buy the step on the Speed Triple is only a few dollars more. This lack of speed will be visible utilized during recording?

If you do not burst shooting () Yes, okay.

45X is a transmission rate of 6.75 MB per second. The largest JPEG file, the 10.0 MP camera that is making you have ever had, probably somewhat less than this amount. (Canon says that the largest file size is 3.8 MB big, but I think it must, on average, that's my 10 MP Nikon D200 6 MB files in a short time.) This means that card is limited to 1 image / s in the case of the "worst" scenario. The thing is that the buffer (x) the number of images that would not be reduced to 1 fps, until the buffer is exceeded. The thing is, I do not know what "X". (Maybe they can help KoKo.) This will vary, of course, selected according to the picture settings. Nikon, the buffer is displayed continuously when you press the shutter button and maybe Canon has this function.

You can fill its buffer 3 frames per second, but the speed of the board of 6.75 MB per second would be the limiting factor, and then bent at about 1.5 frames per second or less. The thing isI do not know how big the buffer and can be found on the website regularly. It may be in the manual or, as I said, you can see in the camera, somehow.

See my answer to http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index ... to see how he handles the Nikon and something similar in the room.
